This 1-1 course is designed to give you all the information needed to look after and care for your dog at home without the need/cost of salon visits every 6 weeks so in the long run can be very cost effective!

This is also a great way to bond with your dog to ensure you are doing the best job possible for them at home.

By completing this 1 day course you will:

- Have a better understanding of how to maintain your dogs coat

- Learn to use the correct equipment properly and safely

- Learn how to confidently handle your dog for grooming

- Learn the correct brushing and styling techniques

What Happens On The Day?

The day starts with a quick introduction of myself and the salon. During the day you will learn step by step how to groom your own dog from start to finish as we would do in a salon. This consists of:

- Health check of your dog to check for growths/foreign bodies/looking for changes.

- Learning how to confidently handle your dog during grooming

- The correct way to brush and comb your dog

- Bathing and drying using suitable products for skin type

- Trimming nails and cleaning Pads

- Trimming of hygiene areas

- Clipping/Stripping and styling

- You will also be sent styling notes to look back on for your future home grooms!

This course does not cover ear plucking or anal glands.

​

Food is not provided but a lunch break is given half way through the day with enough time given to allow for a short walk for your dog also.

A basic equipment pack can be purchased which includes 2 x scissors, a comb, a brush, small bottle of shampoo and finishing spray. This must be mentioned at time of booking request to ensure it is in stock for your course date. £50.00

There is absolutely no pressure to purchase this from me and you are welcome to buy/source your own. You do not need these for the day of the course as you are welcome to use my own equipment.
